Methodist College of Engineering and Technology proudly inaugurated the AICTE SPONSORED 2-day Virtual INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RECENT ADVANCEMENTS IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND SOFT COMPUTING (ICAISC-2022) on 2nd and 3rd of December, 2022.

Inauguration

The Inaugural of the Conference was organized offline and streamed live on YouTube. The inaugural was presided by Prof D Ravinder, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Osmania University, Hyderabad, who motivated all the delegates, faculty, and students about the significance of Artificial Intelligence, drones, and robots in the near future.

He also elaborated on the 21-point agenda set as a roadmap for the advancement of academics and research at Osmania University and its affiliated institutions. The Guest of Honor, Prof P V Sudha, Director, Center of Excellence, AI & ML, and Dean, Faculty of Informatics, Osmania University, Hyderabad, rolled out internship opportunities for students and FDPs for Faculty offered by the Center of Excellence (AI & ML) at Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Conference Organization

The ICAISC Program team including Chief Patron Sri K Krishna Rao, Secretary and Correspondent, MCET; Patrons Dr M Lakshmipathi Rao, Director, MCET; and Dr Prabhu G Benakop, Principal, MCET; Convenor Prof M Sharada Varalakshmi, CSE, MCET; and Co-Convenor Dr Lavanya Pamulaparty, Head CSE, MCET hosted the Conference.

Eminent global research experts Dr Saraju Mohanty, Professor, University of North Texas; Prof A H Abdul Hafez, Professor, Hasan Kalyancu University, Turkey; and Prof Atul Negi, Professor, University of Hyderabad, offered keynote sessions on the conference theme. The conference proceedings were released by the Chief Guest, Prof D Ravinder, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Osmania University, Hyderabad. The e-conference proceedings were released by Guest of Honor Prof P V Sudha, Director, Center of Excellence, AI & ML.

Specialized Computing Facilities

Three specialized computing facilities, including the Innovation Hub and Center of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence, were inaugurated by Prof D Ravinder, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Osmania University, Hyderabad.

Paper Contributions

253 members contributed papers to the conference, and 72 papers were selected after a thorough review by a panel of experts for publication in CREWE International Journal of Engineering and Technology (GIJET) published by Grenze Scientific Society and indexed by SCOPUS. About 50 papers from outside the state and 10 from abroad were presented at the conference.
