2-Day National Workshop on โ€œ3D Printing for Innovative Applicationsโ€ Gallery

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and the IEOM Student Chapter of *Methodist College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), Abids, Hyderabad, successfully organized a **2-Day National Workshop on “3D Printing for Innovative Applications”* on *22nd and 23rd October 2025. The event was organized **in collaboration with the Center for Product Design, Development, and Additive Manufacturing (CPDDAM), Osmania University, Hyderabad*.

The inaugural session featured eminent speakers including *Prof. L. Siva Rama Krishna, Director, CPDDAM, Osmania University; **Dr. A. Manmadha Chary, Associate Professor, IFHE University; and **Mr. Rakesh K*, Technical & Industry Officer, National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM). Their expert sessions covered advancements in 3D printing technologies, design and modeling techniques, and applications in the engineering and medical sectors.

On the second day, participants gained *hands-on exposure* through practical sessions at *NCAM and CPDDAM*, where they learned about 3D printing technologies such as FDM, SLS, SLA, and PolyJet. The sessions emphasized real-world industrial applications and innovations in additive manufacturing.

The workshop aimed to *educate students and faculty* about the fundamentals and advanced applications of 3D printing, enhancing their understanding of design, process, materials, and applications in product development and research.

The program was held under the guidance of *Dr. A. Rajasekhar, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, MCET, who served as the Convenor. **Mr. Mohammad Abdul Fazal* and *Ms. Shazia Anwar, Assistant Professors, coordinated the event, with active support from student coordinators **Faizan Ahmed, **Zeeshan, and **Mohd. Ayan*.
