Objectives of the Cell

To Bridge the gap between industry and institute.
To Organize the Workshops, Conference and Symposia with joint participation of the faculty and the industries.
Joint Research & Development activities and field studies by faculty and people from industries.
Visits of industry executives and practicing engineers to the Institute for seeing research work and laboratories, discussions and delivering lectures on industrial practices, trends and experiences
Placements for students
Projects Sponsorship for students

Functions:

To support the departments in organizing workshops and symposia with joint participation of the Industries and Academic Institutions.
To promote collaboration among academicians, scientists, and industrialists to achieve competitiveness in developing the technical man-power for socio-economic development.
To create awareness among students’ regarding the expectations and ever changing needs of Industries / Companies.
To promote R&D and Consultancy Projects with industrial collaboration.
To promote the faculty exchange programs and to facilitate internships to the students’ Committee Composition
The IIIC is composed of Head of the Parent Institution (Chairman), one Coordinator, one senior faculty member from each department of the Institutions, one student coordinator from each department, and one student representative member from each department for every year.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Committee Members

Role of the Coordinator

Ensure all necessary tasks for day to day running of the IIIC activities of the college are carried out.
Chair Committee Meetings ensuring that they are run efficiently and effectively
To coordinate the quality of education to meet the trend of industry.
Represent the committee and the college in matters involving the relevant Association.
Submit an annual report to the committee.
To perform any other related duty assigned by Director/ Principal of the institution.

Role of the Member

Maintain records of the Committee and ensure effective management of committee’s records.
Maintain the committee membership list each year.
Formulate and update the yearly calendar of events under the observation of co-ordinator of the committee.
Communicate with respective Head of the Department regarding the activities of the cell.
Identify the students who have leadership quality and propose their name to the coordinator as student representative.
Report all the related activities to the coordinator of the committee.
To develop good work culture among students
Take the requirement form the department head as and when to conduct other value added programs based on industry requirements.
Take the requirements from the department head as and when to organize lecture by experts from industry.

Role of the Student Member

To identity the interested students for Research and Development.
To Organise the events under the IIIC
To coordinate the students community for communication with the faculty member.
To promote the awareness of the Industrial Visits, Internships among the students’
