Industry-Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC)

Objectives

The IIIC aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering skill development and collaboration to prepare students for real-world challenges. These objectives are periodically refined based on feedback, industry trends, and educational advancements to remain relevant and impactful.

  • Enhance skill development through value-added courses and transferable skill training.
  • Promote industry-oriented learning via internships, industrial visits, projects, and workshops.
  • Increase the number of collaborative activities for student exchange, guest lectures, and on-the-job training.
  • Improve the quality and relevance of student projects by enhancing industry interaction and implementing flexible curricula.
  • Organize training programs in collaboration with industry to facilitate faculty with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Functions
  • Organize value-added courses and skill enhancement training programs to bridge the industry-academia gap.
  • Facilitate internships, industrial visits, and industry-based projects for students.
  • Arrange guest lectures, student exchange programs, and on-the-job training opportunities in collaboration with industries.
  • Work with industry experts to ensure curricula align with the latest industry trends and standards.
  • Conduct training programs for faculty to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders to foster long-term collaboration.
  • Plan and execute workshops, seminars, and conferences involving industry representatives.
  • Gather feedback from industry experts on the performance of students and faculty to refine strategies and initiatives.
Role of the Coordinator
  • Develop annual plans for IIIC activities and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Establish and maintain connections with industry partners and organizations for collaborative programs.
  • Ensure adequate resources for the smooth execution of IIIC initiatives.
  • Supervise the activities of members and student representatives, ensuring their contributions align with the objectives of the cell.
  • Evaluate the impact of IIIC programs and present periodic reports to the institution’s management.
  • Act as a bridge between industry representatives, faculty, and students for all IIIC-related activities.
Role of the Member
  • Assist in planning and organizing internships, industrial visits, guest lectures, and other initiatives.
  • Maintain records of IIIC activities, including agreements, attendance, and feedback.
  • Act as a liaison between the coordinator and stakeholders, such as faculty and students.
  • Help execute workshops, training programs, and conferences effectively.
  • Gather feedback from students and industry representatives to improve future initiatives.
Role of the Student Member
  • Act as a representative of the student community in the IIIC and communicate their expectations and concerns.
  • Actively participate in organizing and managing IIIC activities like industrial visits, guest lectures, and workshops.
  • Encourage peers to enroll in value-added courses and skill development programs.
  • Provide feedback on IIIC activities and suggest improvements from a student’s perspective.
  • Guide fellow students in leveraging the opportunities provided by IIIC for skill enhancement and career development.
