All the library transactions are computerized and On-Line Public Access Catalogue has been introduced. Users can search the book details via author wise/title wise/subject wise search. User can also get information about the number of copies available in a particular title.
The college library books are being issued/returned through library software KOHA with bar code technology. This facilitates faster issuing / return /easy tracking of books.
Every Academic Year, the class toppers from each branch, will be given an extra Library card. Faculty pursuing PhDs. will get 2 extra library cards on producing the relevant documents.
Library is having 2367 books in Social Welfare Book Bank. SC/ST students are entitled to borrow 6 books from this Book Bank in a semester.
Contains both technical and non-technical journals of national and international origin. These are displayed and kept available for the reference of students and faculty members.
The library consists of 3,424 reference books of all Engineering branches, Science, Humanities, English, Encyclopaedias, Directories, Biography, and Atlases & Dictionaries. The library also has a collection of Rare Books, Manuscripts and Special reports. All these Reference Books are for consultation within the Library.
Previous years Question papers are available year wise and branch wise, both in print & soft copies. These will be provided to the users for making photocopies.
One copy of Student’s Projects of all previous years is maintained in library and is provided for reference.
The library has dedicated spaces for students that could be used for knowledge sharing discussions.
The reading room consists of comfortable tables & chairs with a seating capacity for 100 users.
The central library offers photocopying service to all its members.
Besides the central library, every department has its own departmental library. The library supports the entire individual department libraries for acquisition and maintenance of titles. Regularly, print journals are transferred from central library to departmental libraries. The back volumes are transferred to department library and will be returned back to the central library soon after the next volume comes in.
Library is having membership in DELNET (Developing Library NETWORK). The main advantage of DELNET is Resource Sharing with Library Network that connects more than 7700 institutions in 33 states in India and few other countries also.
