The department of Mechanical Engineering in association with R&D cell and IQAC conducted a webinar on the topic ‘Art of writing successful research proposal and to identify funding   agencies’ On 17th February 2023.Welcome address was given by Prof K Jaya sankar Dean (Research and Development).Chief Guest introduction was given by Dr.P.Prabhuraj, Associate Professor, and Mechanical. Vote of Thanks was given by Prof Ravi M Yadhalli Dean (QA&A).

• Introduction on research proposal and stages of research proposal like purely for academics, application and classical proposal writing.
• Briefly explained about the various contents of research proposal.
• Information on how to make budget for a proposal and allocations fund in various activity.
• Briefly explained about the various funding opportunities in science and technology.
• Awareness on benefits and outcomes of funded project.
• Discussed various case study of   completed research proposal.
